Kick-off of the 11th edition of the Maghreb Film Festival OUJDA from 07 to 12 October 2022.
Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God glorify him, the Cine-Maghreb Association announces the holding of the 11th edition of the Maghreb Film Festival OUJDA, under the theme of “the image and the Imaginary in the cinema” and this from 07 to 12 October 2022.
The previous two editions were held remotely due to Covid-19.

In order to contribute to the richness of the Maghrebian artistic scene and to strengthen the links between peoples and cultures, the OUJDA Maghreb Film Festival brings together, during 6 days of festivities, directors, producers, actors, critics and film professionals, having as main objectives
The democratization of access to cinema;
The evolution and development of the film industry in Morocco and the Maghreb countries;
The celebration of the cinematographic art on an international scale.
Two renowned Juries have been chosen to arbitrate the films in official competition: The Jury of films in competition of feature films will be chaired by the famous Burkinabe filmmaker, Ardiouma Soma.

For the Jury of films in competition of short films, it will be led by the great film critic, Kamal Ben Ounas (Tunisia).
The Film Festival will have the participation of more than twenty films, including two films of the guest cinema, two films for young audiences, in addition to daily outdoor screenings in large squares in the city.

Alongside these activities, the festival will pay tribute to the Syrian actress “Joumana Mourad”, the actor, director and member of the famous group Jil Jilala “Hamid Zoughi”, the poet “Sameh Derouich” and other figures in the world of cinema and arts.
Other round tables, colloquia, master classes, workshops and symposiums will also be set up in the 11th edition of the Maghreb Film Festival OUJDA.
